REVERB is a reverberation algorithm and SDK that has been optimized for premium audio quality while remaining processor-friendly.
In developing REVERB, we studied real impulse responses in order to accurately model stereo decorrelation and diffusity. The result is a highly realistic reverb model that creates an authentic and natural impression of space.
The early reflections element of the reverb is modeled with a mirror image source method. To allow the user to choose the best trade-off between quality and performance, REVERB offers a choice of four quality modes, which have a significant impact on the processing power required.
Besides several presets, the SDK offers complete control over the internal parameters, which include:
- Reverberation Time: Length of the reverberation tail
- Pre-Delay: Delay of the reverberation tail
- Dry/Wet: Ratio of dry and wet signal in the mixture
- High Cut: Highest reverberation frequency
- ER/LR Gain: Gain in dB of early and late reverberation
- Bass Boost: Gain of low reverberation frequencies
- Diffusion: Diffusity of the reverberation
- Liveliness: Liveliness of reverberation
